Field Trips

Spring is a very busy time of year.  The days are longer and the weather is nicer.  We too are busy this spring in Room Ten.  We have three field trips coming up over the next three weeks.  Tuesday, March 31 we travel to Science Works hands on museum in Ashland.  We will leave for Ashland at 8:45 in the morning and return around 1:45.  Thursday, April 9th we are hiking the lower Table Rock.  This is a BLM guided hike and promises to be a great time.  The following Thursday, April 16th, we journey to Crater Lake for a snowshoe hike.  We need 5-7 chaperones for both the Table Rock trip and the Crater Lake trip.  Please let me know ASAP if you can join us for either of these activities.

Car Wash is a big SUCCESS!!

Our fund raiser for Zane was a huge success. As a class we raised over $275 dollars to help Zane’s parents get the training they need to improve Zane’s quality of life. Thank you to all of you who braved the cold and sprinkles to wash cars and raise money. I am so fortunate to be able to work with so many wonderful students and families. Nice work!

Conferences

Due to recent budget cuts and the subsequent loss of school days, our conference schedlule has changed.  Instead of the previously scheduled days of March 18, 19, and 20, conferences will only be held on Wednesday the 18th.  If you would like to conference about your students progress I will hold office hours from 10am-6pm on Wednesday.  I will meet with parents on a first come first served basis.  If this day does not work for you, we may be able to arrange a phone conference or connect via e-mail.  I appologize for this inconvenience and hope to work something out with each of you to discuss the progress of your student.  Thank you for all of your support at home.
