We’re running now!

We have hit the ground running! September has shown us some hot temperatures and some good times in Room 10. Last week we went to Crater Lake. What a spectacular place. We learned how the lake was formed and about the plant and animal life in the park. I want to thank all of the parents involved in the trip. Without your dedication to our students these trips would not be possible. Please continue to check this site. I will be adding more information and updates in the future.

Summer reading!!

As the hot days of summer come upon us and you need something cool to do, how about checking out a cool book and chill out under a tree. Check out the new reading page at the top of this blog. On it you will find a link to the third grade AR book list, and a link to the Jackson County Library system. What an awesome place to beat the summer heat. See you in September!

Help Wanted!

Wanted, carnival loving parents and family members who would like to work as a golf pro!  The Sams Valley PTA carnival is THIS FRIDAY!  This is a fun night for our families and friends.  Room 10 will be hosting the golf booth this year.  We need parents or family to help staff this booth.  Responsibilities include collecting golf balls and giving out prizes!  If we all pitch in 30 minutes then we can make this booth happen!  If we get enough volunteers then we could possibly only work 15 minute shifts leaving tons of time for FUN at the carnival.

Way to go Room 10!!!

Room 10 students have done an incredible job this year.  Luke Doggett won the District 6 Spelling Bee and will represent the district at the regional competition at Southern Oregon University.  Luke is working very hard studying his words, and I’m sure he will do an excellent job.  Way to go Luke!  We are proud of you!

Room 10 also has two students who are in Annie.  Wow!  That was an awesome play.  Halli Campbell and Zach Sparks did an excellent job in the play.  My daughter and I came away very entertained and impressed.  These kids have shown an outstanding work ethic during their extracurricular activities and in the classroom.  The Annie players performed Wednesday night, went snowshoeing Thursday at Crater Lake, performed Thursday night, showed up for class on time Friday, and performed again Friday evening.  Keep up the good work.  We are proud of you!

Way to go Room 10!  You are all doing a fantastic job!
