Dear parents and families,
Next week is a busy week for Room 10 kids. Monday brings up Valentine’s Day. We will celebrate by opening Valentines and having a snack. Valentines are not required. If you and your child choose to bring Valentines, please be sure that there is one for every student in our class. Also, notes in the cards must be positive in nature. This has been a problem in the past.
On Tuesday, our kids will begin the State Writing Assessment. Our kids have been working very hard writing, revising, and learning about how their papers will be scored. Now is the time for them to show off what they have learned. Please spend some time talking with your child about the importance of doing their best, taking their time, and paying attention to detail in their writing. Students will have three days (1 hour per day) to work on this test. If a student needs more time, time will be given the following week.
There will be no school on Friday, February 18th. This is a budget cut day before the President’s day weekend.
